Idea projektu

In the current era of high urban density and the search for new urban living, this project proposes a different areal model that addresses high density in the urban space, while emphasizing accessible and diverse public spaces and mixed-use development.

Popis projektu

The project relies on the metro and light rail infrastructure and proposes an alternative to an aerial plan in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In contrast with the current plans, the alternative urban perception is spatial, three-dimensional folding, producing diverse and complex mixed-use functions in which the various parts of the program are interwoven, with consideration to their degrees of privacy. The areal model proposes a sustainable environment through its building methods and spatial form, and by integrating sustainable climate systems.

Technické informace

The construction method aims to minimize pollution and maximize efficiency. Robots will print the structure using concrete free of cement reinforced with carbon fibers. This approach allows for precise material usage and minimizing waste during construction.
I prioritize creating a sustainable space in its construction methods and daily functionality.
On the southern facade and rooftops, solar panels are integrated in order to create electricity for public places.
On the western and northern facades, three-dimensional woven grids cool down at night and in the humid morning air, water collected in these grids feeds a hydroponic wall system, fostering diverse urban nature and allowing each resident to grow a small garden near their apartment balcony.
Preserving principles of light, air, and widespread public spaces, while harnessing technology to implement them in places with minimal carbon footprint will benefit people's lives in the urban environment.
