The concept was a pilgrim's chapel that, being located deep in the forest, conveys the sacred experience not only upon arrival, but also during the journey.
The design was determined by the main natural features of the Orfű deep forest. By dominating the vertical and horizontal direction, the concept of the bridge connecting the two endpoints was formed, on which the mass of the chapel is determined. And with the overall picture, we get the picture of floating.
A lightweight building and bridge played an important role in creating the image of floating. The structure of the bridge had to be thin and unnoticeable, while the chapel had to be designed as a light structure. The frame structure of the chapel is stiffened by the facade plates, while the bridge is also made with a rigid frame structure, so it can withstand the weight of the chapel. Completed with a tension rod, it not only resists natural influences, but also plays an important role in construction.
