Idea projektu

The aim is to enhance the range of cultural, sports, and recreational activities in the Marsella neighborhood in Bogotá,Colombia. To achieve this, the utilization of existing spaces such as Media Torta and an existing pathway has been considered, with the goal of connecting them to the Fucha River. Additionally, a matrix and program have been developed to define the project's scope, followed by the design of a volumetric form adapted to the site's conditions.Integration of existing elements of the place through the enhancement of recreational activities, while regenerating and connecting spaces in the built environment focused on urban gardens, nature, and recreation.

The project offers significant community benefits by improving residents' health and well-being through sports and recreational activities, strengthening the sense of community and belonging, providing opportunities for learning and personal development, revitalizing urban spaces, and promoting social inclusion and sustainability. This contributes to a healthier, more cohesive, educated, and sustainable community, enhancing the quality of life for all its members and stimulating the local economy.

Technické informace

To generate the curvature in both roofs, a metal structure is extended to the "Media Torta" landmark.
Since it has a walkable roof with gardens, it has a concrete structure.
