The brain storming process is necessary when developing and determining the design concept. To determine the design concept applied to this project, I conducted a survey to several people who have an interest and have a certain schedule to visit a gym or sports center. In this survey, I showed 3 design reference options so that they could choose according to their own preferences. The survey results showed that the survey takers preferred an ambience with an industrial style that displays a raw, cold, masculine and sporty look.

The solution provided in the design application of the Sport Center building is the use of materials that are certainly environmentally friendly, not causing negative impacts on future life. In addition, the number of openings is quite large in the building so that the intensity and quality of sunlight entering the room has good quality, so that it is also able to reduce the use of electrical energy. This supports the principles of Green Building, especially in the aspect of the chosen approach, namely Indoor Health and Comfort. The design is expected to realize the situation and atmosphere and present a healthy environment in the room, so that the productivity and health of its users are well maintained.

Technické informace

The roof and structure of the building use a steel structure that is covered with a ceiling and smart striplights are added as lighting, especially in the sports game area. In addition, the material used for the walls is concrete with a light concrete color. Finishing on the floor uses vinyl material with black staggered wood vinyl color. There is also the addition of glass block material in the audience area to maximize natural lighting entering the room.
