Idea projektu

Collective Dwelling" in Bucharest's Rahova district presents an innovative approach to affordable housing, challenging conventional urban development paradigms. This project, conceptualized within the context of an underdeveloped neighborhood, prioritizes cost-efficiency and sustainability, aligning with contemporary demands for accessible urban living.

Central to the design is the strategic integration of green spaces and the externalization of circulation areas, enhancing natural light and fostering social interaction. The incorporation of vegetation-supporting cables across access routes not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also promotes ecological balance.

Popis projektu

Integration of Nature:

Greenery: The design prominently features lush vegetation, both vertically and horizontally integrated. Plants are placed along corridors and balconies, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. This greening strategy promotes a natural ambiance, improving the residents' quality of life and providing a visually appealing environment.
Open Spaces: The central courtyard is landscaped with various plants, providing a tranquil communal space. The open-air staircases also feature greenery, enhancing the biophilic experience.

Modern Minimalism: The interior design adheres to a modern minimalist aesthetic, characterized by clean lines, neutral tones, and a restrained color palette. The use of wood accents and minimalistic furniture adds warmth and elegance to the living spaces.
Natural Light: Large windows and sliding glass doors are employed throughout the design to maximize natural light, creating bright and airy interiors. This also ensures visual connectivity with the outdoor environment.

Apartment Arrangement: The floor plan shows a thoughtful layout of the residential units, maximizing space efficiency and ensuring that each unit has access to natural light and ventilation. The alignment of rooms around the central courtyard enhances accessibility and fosters a community atmosphere.
Layout: The first, second, and third-floor plans are uniform, featuring a combination of single and multi-bedroom apartments. Each unit is designed to optimize living space while maintaining privacy.
Circulation: The corridors and staircases are designed to enhance circulation within the building, providing easy access to all units while also acting as green corridors. The open staircases are a focal design element, connecting different floors and contributing to the overall aesthetic.

Technické informace

Concrete Framework: The building employs a concrete framework with columns and beams. This structure provides durability and flexibility in the design, allowing for large open spaces and extensive use of glass for the facades.
Columns and Beams: Concrete columns and beams form the primary load-bearing system, ensuring structural integrity. This setup supports the wide balconies and corridors, which are essential for the integration of greenery.
