Program: Micro scale apartment & Home workshop Design
Maybe in the word we have always considered work and life to be complementary, however, with a glance at today's machine life and the concerns of today's human, it is easy to understand that the weight of work always weighs on life and by placing the word 'and', the relationship between these two will never be equal. nevertheless, designers have tried to make life superior to work and increase the quality of human life today, in pursuit of discovery and intuition in what is work and life.
When we look at The old fabric of the Atabak neighborhood (in Tehran city) with all the dilapidated and old buildings, with their unsuitable and sickly condition, at the defenseless people who walk in an unsafe environment with bags of fear every day, and at the low quality of their lives... when we good to listen to them, they shouts all their pains and sufferings that call out the distrust of the people, And If the trust is lost, it will never be achieved overnight, but the designers have tried to shine the light of hope and brightness in this houses by creating an open, semi-open and closed space and combining it with the green space and the life tree.

Popis projektu

The design of micro-scale land, particularly for the residents of the Atabak neighborhood, necessitated the use of spatial flexibility. This approach was employed to encourage residents to envision and create their ideal living spaces. The design allows for the modification of space according to individual needs, enabling residents to adjust the size or orientation of their living areas. This flexibility ensures that if less space is required for one function, more can be allocated to another, or even extended to the external environment of the dwelling. Consequently, this results in a dynamic reflection of the house within the neighborhood, creating a vibrant and lively image.

The designers strategically placed the workspace in the lower part of the house. This decision invites the neighborhood’s residents to shape their preferred workspace by manipulating movable walls during collaborative activities. This setup resembles a living, dynamic gallery, allowing for the observation of life’s flow within the area. The presence of people under the house contributes to the creation of a secure environment. Furthermore, units facing each other have the option to maintain either a cooperative or personal workspace by choosing to keep the adjacent walls open or closed. This design fosters both community interaction and individual privacy.
