Fire station on Berezynska Street, Dnipro

Idea projektu

The new fire station on Berezynska Street in Dnipro will become an integral part of the developing Livoberezhny district, ensuring safety for the residents of the nearby Livoberezhny-3 district and adjacent private sectors. In the context of ongoing military aggression from russia, the safety and tranquility of firefighters are prioritized, along with the efficiency of the service.

The fire station is divided into several functional zones: sleeping area, kitchen, administrative area, relaxation area, and garage-service area. A hose drying tower, serving not only as a vital functional element but also as an architectural dominant, adds a distinctive accent to the building. Additionally, a bomb shelter is provided under one of the internal courtyards.

Near the entrance, there is a spacious meeting hall that can be used for both work meetings and public events, thereby providing a space for interaction and cooperation not only among the fire station staff but also with the public.

The layout is designed to preserve the peace of the firefighters, with sleeping quarters separated from relaxation and kitchen areas. This is important both from the perspective of physical rest and psychological well-being, ensuring comfort for the staff under conditions of increased tension and stress. These areas are separated by small internal green courtyards.

A decontamination zone with a shower and laundry room, designed as part of the project, is one of the key elements for ensuring staff safety. It is intended to reduce the risk of exposure to hazardous chemicals that firefighters encounter in their work.

Technické informace

The external walls are made of ceramic blocks with mineral wool and a ventilated facade with metal plates. The internal partitions are made of aerated concrete, and the frame is reinforced monolithic concrete.
