Within the picturesque expanse of Lebanon, a quarry stands as both a geological wonder and a testament to the passage of time. This quarry, ensconced by vibrant greenery, stands in stark contrast to the barren land that extends beyond its borders, creating a poignant visual discord. Recognizing this challenge, I propose a visionary solution — the creation of a Visual Art Culture Park, anchored by an architectural marvel, all under the thematic umbrella of a "Mining Life Node."

The disparity between the lush surroundings of the quarry and the barren land becomes a canvas for transformation, and the concept of the "Mining Life Node" serves as the guiding principle for this revitalizing endeavor. The Visual Art Culture Park becomes a dynamic representation of this theme, harmonizing the rugged history of mining with the vibrancy of life. Sculptures, strategically placed within the park, embody the essence of excavation and renewal, weaving a narrative that speaks to the geological heritage of the quarry and the continuous cycle of life.

At the core of this transformative vision stands the architectural centerpiece, a building that not only addresses the visual dissonance but also emerges as a living embodiment of the "Mining Life Node" concept. The structure, inspired by the precision and dedication inherent in mining practices, becomes a fusion of art, culture, and nature. This architectural masterpiece hosts a diverse array of spaces, each contributing to the tapestry of the symposium's vibrant atmosphere.

Entrance Hall: Your artistic odyssey begins in a grand entrance hall, a prelude to the immersive experience awaiting within the symposium's walls.

Atrium: Bask in the natural radiance of the atrium, a central hub where the pulse of artistic energy beats, drawing together creators and enthusiasts alike.

Administration: Navigate the administrative intricacies effortlessly within this hub, where the behind-the-scenes magic unfolds with precision.

Lounge: Discover a lively yet relaxed lounge area, a communal space where artists and participants mingle, fostering connections amidst the creative buzz.

Storage Room: Explore the curated repository of creativity, a dedicated space ensuring the careful preservation of artistic materials and sculptures.

In this architectural marvel, the backbone of the Sculpture Symposium Center is a robust network of steel trusses seamlessly integrated with the reinforced concrete (RC) structure embedded into the cliffside. This structural synergy not only provides the necessary stability and support but also becomes a defining feature of the design, marrying strength with aesthetics.

The kinetic facade, strategically placed on the side of the functions that do not require ample light, adds a dynamic and transformative dimension to the architectural narrative. This facade, adorned with intricate mechanisms, allows for controlled movement and modulation. It not only serves as a shield against excess sunlight but also becomes an expressive canvas, responding to the ebb and flow of artistic events within.

As daylight gracefully illuminates spaces where natural light is essential, the kinetic facade dances in response to the symposium's activities. Its choreography is carefully orchestrated, creating a play of shadows and forms that harmonize with the surrounding landscape.
