Concept:
The design is based on natural patterns, such as those found in leaves or cells. This approach creates an interesting visual effect that is both striking and functional. The Voronoi structure is also efficient, as it minimizes the amount of material needed to construct the building. This makes it an environmentally friendly option.

Overall, the pavilion is is an example of how mathematics can be applied to create beautiful and functional designs. It showcases the potential for interdisciplinary approaches in architecture and highlights the importance of creativity and innovation in the field.

The basic idea behind Voronoi diagrams is to divide a space into regions based on the distance to a certain set of points. The resulting partitions take the form of irregular polygons, which can be used to create intricate patterns and shapes. The design not only provides a visually appealing exterior, but also allows for natural light to filter in through the irregular openings, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow within the building. The Voronoi-inspired design is also efficient in terms of material usage, as it allows for the creation of complex structures using minimal resources. Overall, the use of Voronoi diagrams has allowed me to create a unique and sustainable design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Technické informace

The Voronoi pavilion structure that combines a steel structure and Bioplastics. The steel structure provides a strong and durable framework, while the plastic elements are used to create the intricate Voronoi-inspired pattern on the exterior of the pavilion. The combination of steel and bioplastics allows for a lightweight yet sturdy design that is able to withstand various weather conditions.

By using steel and plastic in the construction of the pavilion, the design is not only visually striking but also highly functional. Steel is an excellent material for creating strong and durable structures, while Bioplastics are plastics made from renewable biomass sources such as starches, cellulose or other biopolymers, that offer sustainable alternatives to plastics derived from fossil fuels. The use of steel and plastic allows for easy maintenance and cleaning of the pavilion.
