Idea projektu

Through Egypt's interest in museums, the idea of the project was built on reviving the Egyptian Geological Museum located in Maadi, and paying attention to ways to link the geology of the earth with the interior design of the project. This was demonstrated through the use of natural materials and plants, and the use of neutral colors that simulate nature
This project has been redesigned to suit its important contents and to know that Egypt is not only famous for Pharaonic monuments, but also contains many important geological traces.

Popis projektu

The Egyptian Geological Museum has been redesigned to include:
1- The first floor expresses the underground layers, where the main hall was placed, which contains a mammoth skeleton model in its real size, as well as the skeletons of a T-Rex dinosaur and a Serato dinosaur. This main hall leads to the dinosaur hall, animal skeletons, and the hologram hall. Two columns have been bound to be in the form of A human hand to indicate that the excavations were excavated by Egyptian hands
After that, we go to the library, which is designed to suit all age groups by using sound and light shows for children and the elderly, and also to suit study and school knowledge trips, and also contains books in Braille to help the blind.
2- The second floor reflects the surface of the earth, as it contains the hall of wild animals, as well as the hall of whales, which contains the largest fossil of a whole whale found in Fayoum, Egypt, as well as a café
Thus, it becomes an educational, recreational and exploratory place
Building materials were used from natural raw materials to suit the idea of the project. Thus, stones, metals, woods, etc. were used, and they are all natural materials.
Flowing lines were used to reduce the stagnation of natural materials and to express that the earth is not flat, but has terrain, as well as the sea wave
Colors were also used to suit the nature of the place, such as the yellow color for the sand, the gray color for the rocks, the green color for the plants, and the blue color for the sea.

Technické informace

The museum building is structural.
It consists of two floors, the ground floor is 5 meters high, and the first floor is 6 meters high, making the total building height 11 meters.
The building was designed to embody the meaning of sustainability and environmental preservation. The exterior design of the building came to suit weather conditions, including wind and sun heat, thus preserving the life of the building.
The ventilation in the museum relies on central air conditioners.
The finishes are depended on natural materials from the eart like rocks and concrete.
