Idea projektu

An art center or arts center is a functional center with a specific area of competence, designed to encourage the practice of the arts and provide various services. The art center provides a place for exhibitions of works by artists, designers and sculptors, can provide educational services, provide technical equipment, meetings, seminars and other types of communications are organized at its sites.

Popis projektu

The building is a volume that is visually divided into three blocks. Block 1 includes a children's school of additional education, lecture halls, cafes and administrative offices. The central atrium is a multi-level exhibition space, which is the connecting, central link of the art center. Block 3 houses a library and a co-working space.
Books/bookshelf were chosen as the basis for the figurative solution of the facades. The building is located in the historical part of the city and it is through books that we preserve history, passing it on to future generations. In books, we can even find information about lost exhibits and monuments of architecture, painting, sculpture, etc. Books are a link between past, present and future.
The building has ramps, lifts, an elevator, which ensures the availability of people with limited mobility.
