ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTION
The buildings refer to the surrounding terrain, either materially or by being embedded in the terrain. The services are divided into several smaller objects that bounce off each other in different ways and form a lively, pulsating space. The different height levels of the roofs also play a role here so that there is not one large object. The scale of the buildings is small because they are based on traditional Croatian seaside houses. The dominant material is light concrete, which is complemented by stone cladding on the facades of the houses. The buildings have a simple rectangular shape with a flat roof with an overhang of 1 m, which creates a peak and shielding.

Overall, the marina is structured into sharp geometric shapes that are complemented by plants and stones to emphasize the connection with nature. The promenade is created by the method of contrast, where one side of the path is geometrically precise and the other side is defined by the existing rock. It is a path along the coast that is shaded by planted trees and connects the beaches with the marina.

Popis projektu

DEFINITION AND PURPOSE OF BUILDING
The program of the project is to design a resort in Croatia, more precisely a marina and the development of the coast to create a promenade with beaches. A mooring for local boats, rental of jet skis, paddleboards and other attractions is proposed, as well as many services for visitors to the marina such as grocery stores, souvenir shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and visitor center. The marina is arranged in such a way that life in it is supported as much as possible, from morning to evening. On the adjacent promenade there are beaches, places to rest or to exercise in the form of a workout field.

URBAN SOLUTION
There is one main road for cars leading to the Marina, which is mainly used for supplies and for the transport of smaller boats and scooters. There is a car park and barricades right at the entrance to the marina, so that cars move as little as possible on the pedestrian zone. Furthermore, several footpaths lead to the marina, which connect into two main ones, one of which opens in the northeast and the other in the northwest. The entire marina is designed as a pedestrian zone, but for the sake of supply, a lane for cars is also defined here, which is formed in the same paving as the rest of the pedestrian area, but laid out in a different arrangement. Due to accessibility, the maximum height difference is 25 mm.

The coast and marina are surrounded by sloping rocky terrain, which also largely defines the shape of the bay and coast. The shape of the marina and the surrounding promenade, which is formed by a curve copying the terrain, is also inspired by the sharp angles in the stone. The promenade is separated from the beach by raised beds with trees that create natural shading.

DISPOSAL SOLUTION
As there are many similar establishments in the marina, the layouts are often very similar to maintain a uniform visual style. All buildings are created as much as possible as one large space supplemented with employees' facilities

Gastro businesses are created in such a way that the interior and exterior are connected as much as possible, in order to create views of the harbor and the sea, but also to take advantage of the warm air that is common in Croatia.

The shops are created as one room, so that the space is clear not only for the customer, but also for the seller. The space of the marina is clear and legible, thanks to the simplicity of the shapes, which, however, do not appear monotonous, as they bounce off each other in a certain irregularity. This irregularity is mainly defined by the shape of the coast, where the buildings copy the individual folds of the contour lines.

STRUCTURAL AND MATERIAL SOLUTIONS
All buildings are primarily designed as wall structures made of plain concrete of a better strength class. The roofs are made of reinforced concrete slabs, which taper towards the edge, most of their surface is made up of light vegetation, which consists mainly of succulents and invasive plants. The walls remain either in the raw form of exposed concrete or are in some places lined with local limestone. As a result, the building fits better into the surroundings and adapts to it.

Except for the two-story building in the center of the marina, the buildings have a load-bearing wall system. The two-story building with a restaurant and visitor center is complemented by 200x200 mm concrete columns, which are distributed in a 7 x 5 meter grid.
Walkable surfaces are paved with smooth limestone, the dimensions and direction of which are determined by specific situations of use.
