Idea projektu

Co-house'ing structures in Poland – a real vision or a infeasible utopia? The research project of the housing estate in the Łężyn district, in Konin.

The aim of this project is create a prosocial vision of a residential area and a critique analysis of legitimacy of placing the project in the appointed, development area.
Especially it was analyzed the problem of a ghettoism in living spaces in Poland and a urban sprawl effect. The whole of considerations and conlusions was presented by the urban idea put into the engineer project.

Popis projektu

If we are talking about integration we must consider all of kinds of space property. Privat, semi-privat, semi-publi, and public one. The obvious is distinguish a property and an intimacy. We must know that the integration beginning is in our houses, in us.

Cukrownia Gosławice is name of designed pro-social single-houses estate. Most of development by developers projects are not conducive to integration. This project is the different vision, alternative solution to status quo problem. Every stage of designing process was critical analised. Main task was implement integretion in whole scale.
Creating of community depends on sense of security. The security depends on trust and awareness. These depends on possibilities given by urbanism, architecture and design. Therefore the priority was provide: urban plan appropatielty working in context, architecture enabling creation of relationship and design supplying them in micro scale. The idea of Cukrownia Gosławice based on social relations in neighborhoods between habitats, as well as relation between estates. But the most significant integration came from houses. In this project was designed houses which evince authorial idea of intimacy gradient in a section of estate.

The estate was developed not on a „communication grid”, but on the „merge-public-spaces grid”. Cars form dangereous border, not only the spatial one, but espaccialy in a subconsciously meaning.
Walking provide us more contact with other people. Is healthy as a matter of fact. Public spaces have different kinds of function, suitable for people in every age. But the most important is centrum, in which designed was the multifunctional day room and public garden.

Is really important to think about materials and the immediate contact with design and architecture. Becouse of that most of structures base on wood construction and ecological, recycable materials.

This vision contain new form of urban space. The scheme of houses turned on the middle, to center create a unique kind of semi-private space named Sąsiedle ([pl] sąsiad- neighbour + [pl] osiedle- estate). But the beggining of integration is in different space. In house. Its visible in functional scheme. The main idea is turn the scheme to center, locate a living room close to semi-privite square and provide a buffer by create a winterhouse close to front wall. Winterhouses are extension of living room. Due to this in the section is visible the gradient of intimacy.

Small plots are not randomly designed. This taken space is given by semi-privat squares.
In project the most significant are relation with neigbours. Thus this spatial planning ensure lots of kinds of relation. In Cukrownia Gosławice: contact by the adjecent houses and plots, by sąsiedle, by estate and with people from different estates. In common, casual estate: just contact by estate.

The most important in architecture was ecology and adaptable. Becouse of that houses are designed by prefabricated wooden structures. Thus buildings are ecological, easy to adaptation and build, living friendly and cheap.
