Idea projektu

The core principles of design revolves around the idea of learning from the past in order to create a better future. As architects it is our duty to help, provide, and resolve problematic that arise. After the tragic explosion (4th of August), I thought of presenting a project that consists of elements of the past while programming the future, from markets that play a vital role being near the port where transportation takes place, in turn, linking to the city at large. The area will then no longer be privatized but rather it will be given back to the people for their benefit and the city's. The Port's Market will increase income, provide job opportunities, as well as revive the area and act as a beacon of hope. A collective memory only becomes bad because our brain decides to view it as tragedy, a tragedy that will be passed on from one generation to the next. I believe that there is more to it… why not transform it into something more meaningful? Something like hope in the face of adversity? Let’s honor these martyrs by a livelihood area, a place of tribute, a memorial.
