Idea projektu

Before the 1955s, Kecioren was almost like a Jul’s place with its extremely clean air and famous vineyards. With the increase in population, residential areas have increased, and the air has also become seriously polluted.
A group of activists was offended by this situation and opposed it. And they started research to solve air pollution.
Why shouldn’t the sky be a public space? They decided to defend their idea and make a project in the sky. First they investigated the logic of flying the airship. Then they investigated algae for cleaning the air and found out that they are used on building facades.
Then they did the project they called ’Air Pirate’.
They have set up a website where Air Pirate can transfer data to people. Thanks to the transmitted data, every person would be able to receive instant notifications, information about the state of the weather.
Then they dropped the Air Pirate off in the Keçioren skies. It cleans the air with algae placed around it, preventing it from reaching critical levels. Thanks to this, noticeable improvements were observed in the Keçioren air.
He tried to prevent pollution by sending warnings to institutions that pollute the air. He exposed the institutions that did not pay attention to the warnings to the public by publishing them on his website.
He identified institutions, as well as people who pollute the air. Because people were exposed, he took care not to do anything that would pollute the air again.

Popis projektu

Our project area is located in Keçiören. When we look at the scope of our project area, it includes Ufuktepe, Esertepe, Ovacik, Hacıkadın, Osmangazi, Kanuni neighborhoods. According to the address-based population registration system 2022 data, it is the second largest district of Ankara with 942,884 people and the third largest in Turkey in terms of population. The fact that it is crowded has brought many problems with it. Distorted urbanization, lack of green space, lack of social spaces, increase in crime rates, air pollution are some of these problems.
Looking back at the old Kecioren, before the 1955s, when the Kecioren slums first began to appear, it was almost like a Jul (resting place) with its extremely clean air and famous vineyards. Middle Jul and rich Ankarans used to come to Keçiören because of its clean air. The houses were in the garden, and there were all kinds of fruit trees, coops, pools and wells in the gardens. People grew their fruits and vegetables, and they supplied their water from wells. Jul.

According to the statements of the Ankara Branch of the Chamber of Chemical Engineers, Jul, which is famous for its vineyards, clean air, is now the second district with polluted air after Sıhhiye. The pH of the air and soil has decreased to acidic levels. in the statements in 2018, the statements ”According to the data of the official measurement stations of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the limit values related to air pollution were exceeded 254 times in Ankara in 2018” were used. Particular attention is paid by experts to the fact that the PM10 pollutant in particular leads to many diseases, including cancer. In addition, in the statements made, the statements ”The chemical composition of PM10 pollutant found in quantities above the limits in the air inhaled by the people of Ankara is hidden from the public” were used.
In order to make our project area a place that is knowna place that is known for its clean air as it used to be.

ACTIVISM
The environmental activism movement, which forms an important area within the general activist movement, calls on organizations to be environmentally sensitive, minimize the possible environmental damage of products and services, act with an awareness of sustainability and environmental social responsibility. In the project we are developing, we aim to protect the environment by providing a balance between dec man-made world and the natural world. The main goal is to achieve a sustainable lifestyle in order to ensure a healthy future for future generations. Although the intentions are almost the same, the ways to achieve these levels are quite different. It is more about creating awareness among people about the conservation of nature by creating different approaches and perspectives around the same goals for actions dec.
Digital activism, the Internet and new communication technologies are one of the important agenda items of the modern world. The Internet, which is considered to be an effective catalyst for social change, changes the work and the way the work is done, ensuring the establishment of a new order. All events and phenomena related to life exist on this new platform unique to the new world.

FORM AND AERODYNAMICS
PINAS
Pina means “wing” or “fin” in Latin. It is one of the species of mussels that we call bivalves. They live upright, half buried in the seabed, just like a tree. It is a useful creature for the sea that filters water.
When we did it, our goal in the design was to clean the air, and we used it in our design, taking into account the shape of the pine and its mission, inspired by the support that pine gives to ecology.

Technické informace

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
MOVEMENT
It provides movement by compressing and releasing helium in pressure envelopes located around it according to the movement it will make.
ORIENTATION- TRANSFER OF INFORMATION
Sensor networks between the layers Decode the data and transmit it to the virtual world. By detecting this data, it also identifies the appropriate areas where the hijacker can be located. At the same time, it detects polluted air anywhere in the city and directs the hijacker to it.

ENERGY
The flexible, thin, curved and wearable battery designed by California-based company Imprint Energy provides the energy needed for the sensors to work.

AIR PURIFICATION
Thanks to the tubular photobioreactors around the Air Pirate, the algae contained in it purify the air.

PRODUCTION GUIDE
MATERIALS

Air Trap Fabric is cut in the given dimensions. The cut fabrics are adhered to each other with Zodiac Adhesive

The adhered Air Trap fabric is kept under pressure for 24 hours with the help of a pressure machine. Air pressure envelopes, which will provide mobility, are connected to each other, 4 each at the top and bottom of the Air Trap Fabric, and the connection with the sensor is completed.

Steel interlock fabric is cut in the given dimensions. Then, after the fabric is cut to the given dimensions, it is sewn together.

Pre-prepared Air Trap Fabric and Air Pressure Envelopes are placed into the Steel Interlock Fabric that is sewn together. The electronic parts are arranged as in the picture and their connections with the data transfer fabric are completed.

The Server and Sensors that have completed the connection are glued with Zodiac Glue. The fabric and flexible Battery that generates electricity from the sun and wind are sewn and fixed to the Hijacker.

Algae pipes are attached with Zodiac glue as shown in the figure. Then Helium gas is injected into the Air Pirate.

We attach our 3-layer filter caps by placing algae in our transparent, flexible pipes in a suitable way.

Our Air Pirate is ready! By cutting his strings, we can leave him in the sky for a better future.
