GitHUB: A Proposed Cultural Hub and Recreational Park

Idea projektu

GitHUB was inspired from the combination of the word “gitab” means “flicker of lights” inspired inspired by the Pandang-gitab or the festival of lights of Oriental Mindoro showcasing the province's culture and traditions. The project will serve as cultural beacon “Liwanag sa Dilim” in tagalog or "Light from Darkness" and be Calapan City’s own Flicker of Light uplifting tourism industry.

The proposed GitHUB is a combination of cultural hub and recreational park. This hub includes multi-purpose halls, open-air ampitheater, plazas for events, art galleries and contemporary museum, learning spaces, commercial spaces, library, and amenities which includes a series of water, landscape, and iconic features — identity of the province.

Technické informace

Calapan City’s identity of logs or wood makes use of bamboos and wooden panels for sun shading, thus it is eco-friendly. It will administer a sustainable and innovative development, yet considers the environmental impact of the today’s modern technology, while enriching sustainability to the community of Calapan City.
