Idea projektu

Cities are constantly changing. The most current catalysts of these changes are, among others: systematic increase of their population, increase of migration level, global warming and dynamic development of technology. Metamorphosis, which is currently undergoing urban tissue, brings new challenges. The most important of these is to find an answer to the question how you can balance different aspects of urban life. Side issues, though not less important, remain such issues as: using the scientific potential of urban residents, directions of education, production or consumption development, and finally how the exchange of both goods and thoughts should take place.

Popis projektu

The fundamental solution that we propose is to mix functions throughout the housing estate, create places conducive to meetings, culture, establishing relationships, relaxation, rest, working together and exchanging. We introduce various buildings and common spaces.

In the patchwork estate, the dominant production profile is food production, due to the history of areas adjacent to the designed area -> Ulrychowskie gardens, city garden-Jelonki. In addition to ecological home gardening, we propose craft production (small home workshops), energy production and the development of new technologies.

We also decided to use one of the advantages of the area, i.e. location by one of the main communication arteries of Warsaw. Nearby there are bus stops, a railway station and a subway stop is planned. For this reason, an alley connecting the existing public transport stops, the former gardens of Ulrycha with the city of Jelonki garden was carried out through the middle of the plot. The alley is available for pedestrian, bicycle and car communication. Along the avenue there are commercial, craft, cultural and sports services.

Various functions overlap, jobs are located close to where you live. We offer a wide range of sports and cultural services. Residents have an easy opportunity to exchange goods produced in the district.

We offer the following model of development - its core is a residential building supplemented with other functions, ie: underground car parks, multi-level car parks, pitches on roofs, bicycle paths, running and roller routes, climbing walls, ice rink, skatepark. The closeness of the inhabitants with nature will be provided by open-air gymnasiums, vertical gardens and the possibility of greenhouse growing on the roofs.

Technické informace

Crafts are more and more often considered when considering urban economics, in which attention is paid to the additional quality associated with a given place and accessibility for everyone. In the world, small-scale manufacturing, handicraft, tailor-made products are increasingly appreciated, direct contact with the producer is appreciated. We offer such craftsmen as: a shoemaker, a dressmaker, a carpenter, a hairdresser, craft brewers, juices, jams, oranges, fruit mousses, vegetable mousses, the use of 3d printing.

The existing functions in the post-industrial buildings were assigned new functions: the old factory of houses was adapted to a museum connected to the cultural center, and the old gantries were used to create an observation deck.

Our aspiration is the creation of an efficient, self-sufficient city, using its own resources.
