Idea projektu

VITREOUS is a Child Development Centre that focuses on developing child cognitive skill.The site located in Gombak, Selangor and it takes care of 150 children. In formulating the design, the axis projection of nearest educational institutes itself become the guidance to the design to reflect the community and institutional values towards the center.

The center produces a caring and positivity through the Social, leadership skills and volunteerism.It will be the first center that gives the equity in learning regardless of social class and develop high-equality education for young children throughout both its urban and rural areas.

The programs including the community support among volunteer and family engagement, education & learning, community gardenwith the open play area, art and music and open library .Entering the
lobby, children first discover is the central outdoor play area surrounded by trees, perfect for outdoor learning activities and playing .The center is wrapping an outdoor area providing children with a constant visual and physical connection to nature allowing it to be opened and closed to maintain safety for children. The center is Subdivided for different learning and play activities of various age in difference time schedule.

Technické informace

The activities room is designed to be an open plan area where the children would be familiar and free . This will improve children’s physical strength, attentiveness and self learning. Throughout the spaces, the children can access to the rooftop garden from the central outdoor plan. Sustainability design approaches were takeninto the designconsideration such as using of Rainwater Harvesting System , Drywall (recycled material) , Terrace garden and a Solar panel to minimize the energy
consumption of the center.
