Popis projektu

Post-pandemic rethinking high-rise is a mentality change toward redesigning high-rise buildings in the aftermath of the Covid-19 outbreak. The city is well-known as a landmark and a symbol of the nation's expansion, economic prosperity, and stability. Businesses fought tooth and nail for premium office space in major metropolitan areas. Rapid urban sprawl resulted in urban growth and densification. Following that, the battlecries were excessive vehicle usage, pollution, congestion, and dwelling urban open areas. Vertical growth of cities should preserve the paradigm of contemporary urban activities and experiences. To drive the vertical growth of our cities, it is necessary to seek for public voids in high-rise buildings that may be used in a flexible manner. Through the incorporation of these gaps, high-rise urban people in their frenetic everyday lives have a method of escape. Mixed-use development in urban settings is a step toward community living for city people.

The recent epidemic had an effect on the city's adaptation to the new norm, which altered how people lived and worked. Reimagining work transformed the paradigm of work culture and experiences in favour of open plan concepts, partnerships, and social contact over solo work. The present trend in the twenty-first century places a premium on bringing people together and popularising notions such as high-density open-plan working and space flexibility. In adjusting to post-pandemic conditions, owned space, regular leases, flexible leases, flex spaces, co-working spaces, and remote work will all be available. The post-pandemic workplace climate places a premium on employee empathy with regard to work-life balance as a holistic a holistic approach to workplace wellness. Coping with the post-pandemic environment necessitated rapid changes to the working environment, including social isolation, safe entry via thermal screening, office layout alteration, and redesign of private and collaborative areas.
