Idea projektu

The project idea started with having a centralized point inside the campus that connects the various engineering departments, with vegetated spaces that promotes the movement of the public. This has been done by following design principles that have been found in the urban analysis of STU and its surroundings.

Popis projektu

Three prefabricated modules being arranged around a central point, creating voids. This allows the building to be permeable at all times, allowing unobstructed views or disconnection from the public entrances. Since these modules are prefabricated, they can be transported and assembled on site. This reduces construction time and interruptions on campus due to the construction process.

Technické informace

The technology of the module consists of 2 main parts. The construction consists of prefabricated steel frames while using structural insulated panels for the interior, The exterior being cladded with Wienerberger cladding. The second part consists of the solar panel rooftops supplying power to the adaptive facades found around the structure. These adaptive facades use a rail system allowing them to move according to thermal and lighting requirements in an area.
