Idea projektu

We never wanted to design an ordinary and conventional tourist center where we would just tick all the boxes, but we wanted to challenge ourselves and make something innovative and unconventional,
and the best way to do that was to use technology. In order to design the object, firstly we needed to decide what kind of experience we wanted visitors to have while walking through it, so after a
thorough research, we came to the conclusion that Augmented Reality ( ar ) best suits our needs because of an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects that reside in the real-world are "augmented" by computer-generated perceptual information. In this way, augmented reality alters one's ongoing perception of a real-world environment making each visit to the
Tourist Info & Media Center unique and special. By creating multiple continuous paths throughout the object, we are able to present stories of our city and all the information needed for the visitors.

Popis projektu

According to the terms of reference, the project is made for the purpose of the information and media center of the city of Belgrade. However, its value lies in the geometry, approach, and technology it contains and can very easily be used for other purposes such as hospitals as a receiving department. The application of ar ( augmentative reality ) technology is crucial in the experience of the object itself. It gives the visitor first contact with the object's purpose and directs it in different directions according to its needs. Also, its advantage lies in the fact that it does not require additional staff, communication problems, or giving wrong information, but the user can choose both the language and the information that interests him. Ramps that intertwine and extend through the facility can serve to separate patients ( if the hospital is concerned ) by directing them to the wards they need without encountering other patients. in that way spread of whichever disease is contained.

Technické informace

The important thing to note is the use of translucent wood, this is a new kind of technology that should replace glass completely. The conductivity of light in the space itself is larger and more natural and can be adjusted depending on how much pigment of the original material is drawn out. The material is eco-friendly. In that way, the facility will get a more natural and pleasing experience. The facade of the building follows its organic internal structure in a generic form. In this regard, it can also adapt as it itself changes. This project is not just a project, but a vision of the future, a synergy of technology and architecture where both branches give the best of all, human-made for human. Augmented reality is the technology that expands our physical world, adding layers of digital information onto it. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), AR does not create the whole artificial environment to replace real with a virtual one.
AR appears in direct view of an existing environment and adds sounds, videos, graphics to it. A view of the physical real-world environment with superimposed computer-generated images, thus changing the perception of reality, is the AR. For AR a certain range of data (images, animations, videos, 3D models) may be used and people will see the result in both natural and synthetic light. Also, users are aware of being in the real world which is advanced by computer vision Augmentation is happening in real-time and within the context of the environment, for example, overlaying scores to a live feed sports events. AR can be displayed on various devices: screens, glasses, handheld devices, mobile phones, head-mounted displays. It involves technologies like S.L.A.M. (simultaneous localization and mapping), depth tracking (briefly, a sensor data calculating the distance to the objects), and the following
components-cameras and sensors, processing, projection, and reflection.
