Idea projektu

A livelihood center is space where the visitors are led towards exploring the livelihood patterns of a certain community or a context which ultimately leads towards an understanding ad an insight towards the social and cultural aspects that make up the specific community.
In an area with great resources and potential for growth, the isolation and the difficulties they face including but not limited to their daily income being based on paddy cultivation alone hence allowing only the abled bodies to have job opportunities, limits the ability to exploit the maximum from the unique context.
connection of the village evolves in order to protect the culture as well as create bonds among the villagers. furthermore, this livelihood center can function as a community center for gathering and the upbringing of the village as it makes further advances in the future.
The location of the site being at a bird sanctuary, home to many endemic and unique birds. allows tourist opportunities that are not functioning as of yet, hence creating a bland tourist location. though it holds the ability to be a central tourist attraction, it currently lacks the creation of a cultural pull often desired by tourists interested in location as such.

Popis projektu

Small village areas as such have limited opportunities to develop in a strategical manner, hence would have to face multiple problems in their day to day life. Furthermore in an area with great resources and potential for growth, the isolation and the difficulties they face including but not limited to their daily income being based on paddy cultivation alone hence allowing only the able bodied to have job opportunities, limits the ability to exploit the maximum from the unique context. The paddy that is cultivated from the site is usually harvested and sold at a low price in whole due to the inability to store and use them for various purposes. The limitations that they face also greatly affects their human relationships, contributing their isolation from one another. The sense of community among the villages are slowly depleting further due to the isolation they face from each other. By creating a connection among each other, they can further thrive as a self-sustaining village.
The design thrives to cater to the aforementioned issues, thereby creating multiple opportunities for the advances of livelihood in the village. The villagers have a significant connection with the biodiversity of the sanctuary, and this design would create a platform for the villagers to continue this connection and pass this onto future generations. This design also creates a platform for community gatherings and functions for the villagers to gather and create social connections, hence reducing the isolation among the villages. This connection is a necessity as the village evolves in order to protect the culture as well as create bonds among the villagers. Furthermore, this livelihood can function as a community center for gathering and the upbringing of the village as it makes further advances in the future.
This design also further caters towards tourists that want to experience the culture of Anamilundaawa. Whilst this functions as a livelihood center, this also allows the tourism industry to thrive as a secondary function. The villagers can take advantage of this, simultaneously creating a place of attraction for tourism. The villagers can stray from the paddy cultivation and tend to tourisms acting as tour guides etc. Even if the tourism industry staggers in certain occasions, the livelihood center will still function as a location of use to the villagers.
