This study deals with the strategy of development of Brno's greenery, the location of the starting points for the establishment of parks, which were chosen on the basis of collected information and analytical documents. The principles of design and further development, divided into 4 successive phases. In the work we focused on the area between the banks of two rivers in Brno, the Svratka and Svitava, and their connection with the historic centre of the city.


"The aim of the assignment was to analyse the original state of Brno's urban greenery in the central part of Brno and to examine the possibilities of establishing new areas of parks, forests, gardens and vegetation corridors. To propose a strategy for Brno's green infrastructure."

We suggest that parks should start to be created in unused and non-functioning places. In doing so, we clearly establish focal points that will be the catalyst for Brno's green spaces and kick-start their gradual penetration into the urban space. We will give these places their missing or lost quality, we will give people space for movement, relaxation and contemplation.
The proposed parks will support the enhancement of their surroundings by adding quality to the place and by becoming attractive to people. In this way, the surroundings of the parks will come alive.


In order to ensure that the newly proposed spaces do not merely function as unattainable solitudes, we propose that they are connected by uninterrupted green corridors that will be located on the future disused railway embankments that cross the city. The original barrier will thus become a link and instead of dividing, it will connect.
This link is represented by a vibrant line that flows organically through the greenery. The greenery thus created enhances, improves and connects the city. In the future, it is possible and desirable for this greenery to gradually penetrate more and more into the city space, whether as avenues along the roads or in the form of green walls and roofs.

In order to make the park not just a flat plain and the city not more of a park than a city, we suggest that where it is appropriate to insert a funckie, the area of the park should be raised and the building should be hidden under a 'flying green carpet'. This will create 100% nature, 100% city and therefore 200% space for people.

Táto štúdia rieši stratégiu rozvoja brnenskej zelene, umiestnenie východiskových bodov založenia parkov, ktoré boli zvolené na základe zozbieraných infomácií a analytických podkladov. Zásady návrhu a ďaľšieho rozvoja, rozdelené do 4 na seba nadväzujúcich fáz. V práci sme sa sústredili na oblasť medzi nábrežiami dvoch brnenských riek, Svratkou a Svitavou a ich prepojenie s historickým centrom mesta.


“Cieľom zadania bolo analyzovať pôvodný stav brnenskej mestskej zelene v centrálnej časti Brna a preveriť možnosti založenia nových plôch parkov, lesov, záhrad a vegetačných koridorov. Navrhnúť stratégiu brnenskej zelenej infraštruktúry.”

Navrhujeme aby parky začali vznikať v nevyužitých a nefungujúcich miestach. Jasne tým stanovujeme ohniská, ktoré budú katalizátorom Brnenskej zelene a odštartujú jej postupné prenikanie do mestského priestoru. Dodáme týmto miestam ich chýbajúcu alebo stratenú kvalitu, dodáme ľudom priestor pre pohyb, relax a rozjímanie.
Navrhnuté parky podporia zveladenie svojho blízkeho okolia tým, že dodajú miestu kvalitu a tým, že sa stanú atraktívnymi pre ľudí. Okolie parkov takýmto spôsobom ožije.


Aby novo navrhnuté priestory nefungovali iba ako nedosiahnuteľné solitéry, navrhujeme aby boli prepojené neprerušenými zelenými koridormi, ktoré budú umiestnené na v budúcnosti nevyužitých železničných valoch, ktoré pretínajú mesto. Pôvodná bariéra sa tak stane spojnicou a namiesto toho aby rozdelovala, bude spájať.
Túto spojnicu predstavuje pulzujúca línia, ktorá organicky plynie zeleňou. Takto vzniknutá zeleň teda zveľaduje, skvalitňuje a prepája mesto. V budúcnosti je možné a žiaduce aby táto zeleň postupne prenikala viac a viac do priestoru mesta, či už ako aleje pozdĺž cestných komunikácií alebo vo forme zelených stien a striech.

Aby park nebol len plochou pláňou a mesto aby nebolo viac parkom ako mestom navrhujeme, aby sa v miestach kde je vhodné vložiť funckie zdvihla plocha parku a pod “vzlietajúci zelený koberec” skryla i budovu. Vytvoríme tak 100 % prírody, 100 % mesta a teda 200 % priestoru pre ľudí.
