The Location: Europe, Hungary, Budapest, Újpest District, Káposztásmegyer area

There are several reasons for choosing a location. First aspect is that I live here, I know this district, so I have a better understanding of the needs, transport and social habits of the site.

The second main aspect is the choice of the Káposztásmegyer area within Újpest, because surrounded by forests and close to nature location. It gives a kind of close-to-nature atmosphere to the establishment of a relaxation center and SPA.

The second main aspect is that since the suburbs are not very busy, there are still a lot of people living here who, knowing the Hungarian employment situation, when they return home from work, may need a calm environment where they can recharge with energy. Újpest has a large residential community and in real there are no service units for relaxation at an affordable price, which forces people to go to the center of Budapest.

This junction point will be developed by metro station at 2027 and for that will be main point with an important building for this district.

The Concept:

The project idea is how I can create a space in the outer edge of Budapest where the people can feel they self in a different world, where they totally left behind the usual life.

I wanted to make a light building. When we staying inside of the building make us to feel we are outside in the nature. Bright color and clean, natural materials.

Safe and assimilate with the local environment also develop local area.
Create a gate (as known from the Japanese culture " Torii " ) where we get through in the place to care about ours health and soul feeling around the spiritual and nature environment.

The Torii is a kind of gateway to a sacred state of mind. A state of calm where one can relax and then return to everyday life.

The defensive wall is the entrance to the gate, the line where we have to cross, into a closed world that only opens up to nature and we can re-spirit away from the ordinary world. We need to respect our bodies and souls for a longer, calmer and more balanced life. We need to take the time to admire our world longer.

SPA & RELAXATION CENTER

My goal is serving the relaxation of the large residential community at an affordable price. Mainly the local people would be the target.
I think various relaxation therapies are very important for hard working people as it is very difficult to really relax and unwind our body and mind. Many successful people perform these exercises and take advantage of these services as this is the only way they can really recharge and perform with they best every day. One of the best examples of this is Cristiano Ronaldo, who can provide the maximum even at the age of 35.

It is important for people to properly relax after hard work. Perhaps with this endeavor will improve the people’s health as well as the average age may increase.

The SPA can be divided into three main parts:

1. The AXIS: An outbuilding where service, locker and logistics functions are located.

2. The SUPPORTING PILLARS: They provide a passage to the SPA and relaxation center.

3. The CIRCLE: The main building of the SPA, where a multifunctional function is located, but it can be divided into three main and one additional part.

THE CIRCLE contains the following parts:

THE BATH: there is a thermal, medium temperature swimming pool and a hot tub.

The SAUNA and RELAXATION section: here various relaxation rooms have been created.

With principles supported by studies you can find the following rooms
- The BLUE Room that has a calming effect on a person.
- The WHITE Room, where we can feel comfortable with a sense of purity.

- The GREEN PLANT Room, where the density of plants gives us an experience close to a densely jungle.

- The STARRY SKY Room, where we can turn off our brains in a dark room by imitating the starry sky.

Steam and infrared saunas provide a wellness experience.
The MASSAGE AND THERAPY unit

• Here different therapies are provided by people working there and by contributor
therapists and masseurs. The guest can use paired or individual therapy and massage rooms..

RELAXATION SESSIONS: they are located in two places inside the building, where different relaxation exercises are taught and held. In good weather, such exercises are also held in the inner gardens.

THE AXIS: Include the main entrance the changing rooms for the guests and for the staff. Also include a restaurant and children care and playground for the single moms or dads.

THE SUPPORTING PILLARS: Where we get through the main building prepare ours self for relaxing.

THE CIRCLE: The main building. The SPA where we have all the functions what can be help for us to relief.

Technické informace

The used materials:

White clean walls and ceilings, wood furniture, epoxy resin floors. Big clear and opal glazing.

 
The Structure:

My structure built by shallow foundation with round steel columns. The roof structure made by „I” section steel beams between them the cross loads hold by vertical and horizontal cross steel beams and pillars. On the „I” section roof beams laid a big load resistance corrugated sheet layer. The corrugated sheet holding the extensive green roof.


The mechanical engineering of the saunas and swimming pools placed at the basement floor which can be approach from inside and from outside of the building.
