"Urban Graft"
The work is conceived from the urban deterioration of the city of Valparaiso, which leaves its foundational identity as a historical center, giving way to the degradation of its tissues, understanding the city as a "living" network through a biological analogy, Which allows an analysis of the functional layers of the city, which allows and yields urban design results.

Popis projektu

The work is studied from its context as a support through the conformation of the Light and its exceptional values ​​as a UNESCO site.
These values ​​and spatial attributes are reflected in the distribution of the enclosures, which generate "Urban Portraits" that determine the scope of the work.
The work is proposed as an end to the tourist circuit, as well as a community support for cultural education and foundational importance of the city of Valparaiso, so it welcomes the resident as a resident where the reference falls on the particularity of the historical- Foundational church of the Mother Church.
The work seeks to put in value the development of the inhabited memory as a limit and to highlight the current state of the port city, in such a way as to promote the development of a displaced center.

Technické informace

Its structural system is composed by rigid frame type, which is a combination of steel with reinforced concrete, which allows to have a stable center and free plants for variable use according to the museum program and its requirements.
