Idea projektu

“Can we survive such a desert extreme environment in Africa?”
There are many kinds of small towns near from the Nile river in Africa. But without water in the middle of the desert, nobody can survive this extreme environment any more. It means this harsh weather leads to leave people from here and the territory remains as an untouched and abandoned area. The idea of this project is starting from here, and the overall vision of the scheme provides artificial water providing system which looks like rain cloud. Ecological cloud city is created by thinking this simple system so the main tube structure will be a superstructure as well as water course. This system provides water to residents and will be used for planting trees hanging up in the air. In addition, cloud city residents could commute through the tube-road inside the superstructure. Furthermore, ecological cloud system linked together so technically that people could enjoy their life in the middle of the desert so this ecosystem can regenerate desert area and connect city to city steadily.

Popis projektu

Ecological-cloud City is aim to rethink the suburban residential platform within the context of uninhabitable area. This project provides living trees with divers range of sustainable and low-technologies by enhancing extreme environment in Africa.

Technické informace

Basically, Ecological cloud city can provide water to desert by water-tube and give dwelling units to residents. Also, used water by residents will be recycled again for planting trees through the tube and linked other tube structure so that people can live middle of the desert such a like this. In Africa, there are many disconnected areas because of shortage of water. If we use water from the Nile river or Indian ocean, we can connect town to town, small city to small city so these areas can be developed steadily. 4 areas chosen as a site has a possibility to be regenerated as a second nature.
