Idea projektu

LOCATION
The apartment building is located in the east of the Czech Republic, in the third largest city, Ostrava, on the border of the Ostrava - Fifejdy districts and the historical center of Ostrava.

CONCEPT
It is a complex that consists of three apartment buildings, which are visually connected to the ground floor, in which there are sales areas for both commercial and catering facilities. Furthermore, this unit is divided into two parts through a continuous area, in which there is greenery and places to relax. In this whole, this area forms a kind of open courtyard or a through atrium. It should serve mainly the inhabitants of apartment buildings, but it is also freely accessible to a passing person, whose atmosphere will make his journey more pleasant.

GREEN
The aim was to design this building in such a way that it would make people living in the city more pleasant and allow them comfort and plenty of space. So there are designed large apartments with an area of about 100 m2. Each apartment has several large balconies with a flowerpot for the possibility of planting plants or smaller shrubs or small trees. The balconies are supposed to be a place of rest and relaxation, even though the building is located almost in the center of Ostrava and can partially replace tiny gardens. The greenery on the balconies must be chosen pre-grown especially for this purpose.
Another place to rest is possible "inside the building", in the courtyard, which is open to two sides - the square and the main street and especially to the sky. The whole area is made up largely of greenery - grass, trees and smaller plants around the ground floor. From this part it is possible to enter the living space. Due to the at least partial confinement, there is the possibility of relaxation or children's games.
The building is surrounded by greenery as much as possible. Thanks to the trees and plants, the environment will be more pleasant, both from an aesthetic point of view, but above all from a climatic point of view. Trees and plants create shade in the hot summer, produce moisture and oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide and retain dust. They are beautifully colored in spring and autumn and can create a nice visual backdrop in winter. In the through space, the trees also serve as a wind barrier.

Popis projektu

SOLVED OBJECT
The subject of the work is a part of a residential complex. The solved building has the shape of a rectangle, and there are four entrances to it - one to the basement from the underground car park, which is not part of the solution of this work, and three entrances to the ground floor (one to housing units and two to the public part of the building). The dominant feature of the building are the consoles of balconies, on which built-in flower pots with greenery are designed.

COMPLEX DISPOSITION AND BUILDING OPERATION
Residential and public space buildings operate separately. While the buildings, where the housing units are located, are entered from a through open atrium, the ground floor, which serves as a sales and therefore a public one, the entrances are located from the outside of the entire complex.
Access to the basement is possible from the adjacent underground car park. Basements belong to housing units and are connected by stairs.
There are eight apartments in each of the three residential areas, two on each floor. All apartments are very spacious and have an area of about 100 m2. Each apartment has windows oriented to three sides of the world.
