Idea projektu

The basic idea in conceiving this proposal was to unite the community as a whole and create adequate spaces for spending time together, self-realization or creating joint events for the community. The community center should be a space where each resident finds their group of people with the same interests and feels good in it. Age is not important in this case, as the community is made up of people of all ages, regardless of race, religion, gender or motor, sensory or mental abilities. Therefore, I tried to create a space that would unify all the requirements of the inhabitants and these preconditions for the creation of a community could be fulfilled. The building consists of several pavilions, the connection of which represents the connection of people in the community - these are small elements that together form one large whole holding together. The combination of sports, cultural, artistic, educational or relaxation activities under one roof will provide residents with a program 7 days a week for more than 15 hours a day. It will create a space for residents where they can not only learn, enrich themselves culturally or live artistically, it is a place where they can feel confident and find solutions to many questions and problems together.

Popis projektu

The community center is situated in the village of Svätý Jur. It is located on a plot between the Evangelical and Roman Catholic cemeteries, which surround it from the northeast and southwest. With its pavilion form, it pleasantly completes the urban block from the urban as well as rural character of family houses. By transforming the terrain into flat and adding two elevations, the land of the center is divided into two parts. A semi-enclosed block with a scattering surface, which forms a protected space and a semi-public space that invites passers-by to its gates. With its multifunctionality, it revives part of the zone and connects several civic amenities for the inhabitants. Access by car to the building is possible from Krajinská cesta and parking is designed as an outdoor parking lot on the southwest side of the land in the number of 3 +1 parking spaces for people with disabilities or families with children. There is also an underground car park with a curved boarding ramp with parking spaces in the number of 54 + 2 stands, also for people with disabilities or families with children. There is also a parking space for bicycles (20 pieces). Pedestrian access to the land is possible from the southeast side from the local road on Krajinská cesta. The main entrance to the building is also solved from the southeast side and from the main public road is situated at a distance of 55m. The side entrance on the southwest side allows access to the 1st floor and also to the 2nd floor by means of an external staircase. The building also has 2 escape exits and 1 external escape staircase, from the northeast and southeast, while on the northeast side of the land and building there is an entrance for supply. The building is designed as an integrated set of pavilions, which are connected by transition necks. These connecting necks are designed from transparent glass, for better lighting of the interior. The pavilions are two-storey, with the exception of the pavilion with a multifunctional hall, which is single-storey, but with a raised ceiling. Each of the five pavilions represents its own function, and together they form a place to spend free time in the community. The first pavilion is an entrance area with a spiral staircase and a place to rest. To the north of the entrance pavilion are two more pavilions. Pavilion with a hygienic-administrative part and a housing unit for the facility manager or a family in need. The apartment consists of an entrance hall, a smaller warehouse, a separate toilet, a bathroom, 2 living rooms and a living room with a kitchen area. The lighting of the apartment is provided from the northeast and southeast side. The second pavilion on this side is a pavilion with a multifunctional hall with a capacity of approximately 200 people and lighting from the southeast and southwest side. To the south of the entrance pavilion are also two other pavilions. Pavilion with an educational function complemented by a pleasant libresso with an outdoor terrace and a pavilion with a studio for leisure activities to develop the artistic spirit.

Technické informace

Structurally, the community center is designed as a skeletal structure with masonry perimeter walls of perimeter masonry 450 mm thick. Masonry 350 mm thick is used for internal load-bearing walls at the occurrence of columns, 250 mm thick, and masonry 150 mm thick for partitions, or 100 mm. As for the communication core, there is 1 vertical communication core in the building with a staircase arm and a personal elevator, which goes from the 1st floor to the 1st floor and continues on the 2nd floor only by a personal elevator. The staircase is designed as a straight line: three-armed with intermediate landings and railings on both sides. From the 1st floor, the visitor can get directly to the land by means of an external escape staircase, which is rectilinearly single-armed with an intermediate landing. Furthermore, the building has a main, curved staircase in the foyer, which allows the transition between the 1st floor and 2nd floor. The staircase in the studio pavilion exceeds the height of 1 floor and is of a spiral character. The same staircase is located on the north side of the multifunctional hall, but exceeds a height of 6.2 m. Between the studio and educational pavilion there is an external staircase, which exceeds the height of 1 floor and is rectilinear, wedged into the perimeter wall. However, the largest staircase is located close to the main road and exceeds the height of the pavilion of the multifunctional hall. It consists of two parts, one part of which is a classic staircase with a step height of 167 mm and is connected with a residential staircase with a step height of 360 mm. Each staircase is lined with wood paneling and complemented by a steel-glass railing, with the exception of the main staircase in the foyer, which has white paneling and wooden railings. The roofs on all pavilions are flat, but the northern pavilions have vegetated roofs, with sufficient drainage and insulation. The roof plane above the multifunctional hall is not only vegetative, but also walkable, so it is accessible directly from 2 external stair roads. The floors in the building are wooden, in the hygienic parts gray tiles are used. The facade of the community center is connected to the surroundings, both in terms of material and color. A wooden cladding in two colors is used to add depth and contrast. The already mentioned connecting necks are made of glass and all window and door frames are of a dark gray color construction.
