International Institute of Ekistics Ahmedabad aims at promoting the study of evolution of human settlements. Ahmedabad being a perfect example of a city showing such a cultural and social evolution is thereby apt for the project. The historical motif that connects Ahmedabad as well as ekistics is the tree of life seen throughout the evolution of culture and architecture in Ahmedabad.

Study of Ekistics educates the students to improve the livelihood of the future settlement by the lessons of the past. But the development of Ahmedabad shows growth happening at the cost of ignoring the underprivileged face of the society.

This institute facilitates the upliftment of the poor by providing education through the students of the institution.

The scale of the social center creates a sense of stability and security with hope of a better future in comparison to their current scenario.

Technické informace

External referal point - The major axises of the build blocks passes through the mill owners building which represents the new Ahmedabad and also it symbolises a feel of hope.
Closer to the Sabarmati river helps to achieve max ventilation and wide opening helps to achieve max sun light.
Solid and void relation use in the amphitheatre and auditorium is such that the auditorium looks like it is extracted
from the amphitheater.
