Jiafeng Li graduated from Columbia University and the China Academy of Art. She currently works at Allied Works with her practice spanning the US, Denmark, Germany, and China. She has also worked for renowned firms including Arata Isozaki & Associates and Dorte Mandrup. Jiafeng believes architecture should engage in a meaningful dialogue with its environment, reactivating spaces and making them irreplaceable. Her design philosophy revolves around creating architecture that invites discovery, fosters connection, and evokes wonder. She strives to craft spaces that resonate deeply with their context and purpose, reflecting a commitment to beauty, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity. Her work has received international recognition, including First Prize in the 2016 International VELUX Award, finalist in the 2024 KAIRA LOORO Competition, and Honorable Mention in the 2024 Architecture MasterPrize. Widely published by Columbia University, AD Magazine, and other prominent media.

Philip Horton
Philip Horton is a Clinical Associate Professor and a Senior Global Futures Scientist, and he is currently acting as the Assistant Director for Strategic Initiatives for The Design School. In Academic Year 2020/21 Horton served as the Interim Director for The Design School. Horton is currently participating in a transdisciplinary research initiative with the Global Futures Laboratory (GFL), the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO), Studio MA, and other units within ASU. He is currently co-directing the launch of the interdisciplinary Center of Building Innovation (cobi) at ASU, as well as the emergent "Wakanda ASU" initiative.Horton previously acted as faculty advisor to Team ASUNM (Arizona State University and the University of New Mexico) on the SHADE house (Solar Homes Adapting for Desert Equilibrium) for the U.S. Department of Energy's 2013 Solar Decathlon, and as the studio professor for the Waimea Nui Community Development Initiative with the Native Hawaiian Homesteaders' Association. He received a Master's in Architecture (M.Arch) with commencement honors from the Arizona State University's College of Architecture and Environmental Design (now the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts), and is currently completing the Stanford LEAD Executive Education program through the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

James Wright

James Wright is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and a founding Board Director and current Immediate Past President of the AIA International Region.  He is a past Chair of the AIA International Practice Committee Advisory Group, active with the IPCAG since 2011.  He is currently very involved with the International Union of Architects (UIA); he led the AIA delegation to the 2017 UIA Assembly in Seoul, and currently serves as UIA Professional Practice Commission Co-Director. 

Over his career, Wright has led the design and project management of over US$6 billion of building construction and has conducted innumerable planning and feasibility studies in over 40 countries spanning every continent except Antarctica.  With an unusually broad grasp of architectural practice, every year since 1979 he has been engaged in the marketing, managing, design, and delivery of exemplary architectural design services worldwide. His sensitivity to the local culture and traditions of each project setting is strongly reflected in his program-driven building designs.
