A world on the brink of extinction, as we have failed to properly recognize the changing environmental conditions for a long time…
One of the primary reasons for this looming extinction is the climate crisis, which deeply affects Turkey as well.
The climate crisis is a result of human activities on Earth and has become a problem that threatens humanity’s existence in the future. The idea of mitigating the impacts of this crisis through measures and leading humanity toward a greener future is the primary purpose of this museum’s design.
The museum reflects the nature it exists within through its location, the vitality brought by natural light seeping into the space, and the flow of nature into the artificial environment through the presence of plants surrounding the museum and extending into the interior. In this context, strong interactions have been established between nature and the museum.
At the Research Institute of the Sustainability-Themed Architecture Museum, it is envisioned that studies on sustainable materials will be conducted.
This project consists of exhibition areas, a foyer, ticket booth, cloakroom, information desk, library, café, conference hall, shop, offices, technical spaces, storage rooms, workshops, institute, laboratories, restrooms, and a security room
Green concrete and glass were used in the structure of the building.
