JOURNEY IN RAILWAY STATION

Idea projektu

This station is active station in one of big city in Indonesia. Also, this project priority on adaptive re-use building. So, the railway station will have mix use function with Journey in the station which is completed with living dioramas installation, enjoy the dioramas through corridors which lead the users to discover their own journey. Their visual sight will stimulate mind and creating imagination to achieve the feeling. The dioramas include of city nature and some landmark on city, so it is the wrap of city inside the building. Also, its using architectural approach to achieve the feeling and atmosphere of city nature.

Popis projektu

This building is box in the box concept, which there is small unit and the envelope. To completing the journey with void from first floor to the top floor, the building life will exposed. For the top floor, the food court is opened and covered with building envelope. So, the people can see 360° activity surrounding. The smoothness and fluidity supporting on how the journey begin. It is flawless with the flow. Also, the form responds on acoustic control.

Technické informace

This site is located in urban area, the point of entrance to the city, near the airport. The small unit of building using a concrete and for building envelope use steel and timber : glue laminated wood. Completed with facade which will diffused the light softly into the building.
