Idea projektu

Recent scientific studies revealed that Aden is threatened by the dangers of rising sea levels due to its geographical location, and according to scientists' estimates, the city of Aden ranks sixth in the world among cities threatened with drowning, and second in the Arab world after the Egyptian city of Alexandria. Thus, the design of a sustainable residential city on land and floating in the sea contributes to protecting the threatened population from the dangers of weather phenomena and rising sea levels through the construction of the land city at a height of two meters above sea level.

Popis projektu

In 2050, the ocean water level and soil slippage are expected to rise by 25.4 cm each year, and climate scientists predict that by the end of the twenty-first century, water will rise from about 65 cm to 1 meter, and by the middle of the next century many cities around the world may drown and many islands disappear.

So the important question is: where will all these people go?

The need for sustainable and floating residential cities projects lies in avoiding the risks that threaten many cities to drown in the future as a result of rising sea levels due to global warming and melting ice, through the implementation of various projects for sustainable and floating cities at feasible and reasonable economic costs so that they are safe and livable away from the risks of potential drowning, in addition to providing water, food and energy in sustainable and renewable ways that enhance livability for long periods.

Technické informace

This type of project is implemented through the use of several techniques as follows:
First: Using vertical turbines in residential towers for self-sufficiency in renewable energy.
Second: Making use of the roofs of buildings to collect rainwater into reservoirs prepared for this purpose.
Third: the use of air duct towers in the sites to cool the place and reduce the temperature, in addition to the use of ducts inside buildings to reduce the use of air conditioners.
Fourth: Using wind turbines and wave turbines to generate renewable energy.
Fifth: the use of elevators in buildings to work on generating energy through the movement of ascending and descending.
Sixth: Implementing the system of technical farms and fish farming for self-sufficiency in food.
