Idea projektu

The city is a formed structure. However, as in any system it lacks vital elements. In the case of the district, the given is the location of the commercial-cultural hub in the compositional center of the plan. This location allows and stimulates the creation of residential development around the quarter. The maximum concentration of commercial objects in the center allows to achieve the largest possible area around - for a residential area. The center becomes a place of satisfaction and production of the desires of people or - megastructure.

Chaos.
In the silent clutter of old brick buildings surrounded by communication paths, life is dying out, making everyone who enters this land adept of chaos and irrationality. The empty space is filled with horror by the construction with the strict surrounding of the historic city, which tacitly envelopes the plateaued territory. This unidentified and forgotten area requires order. Despite the fact that the existing structure has a unique character of development, formed in the 19-20 centuries, it can no longer compete with the rest of the fabric of the city, or at least become part of it.

Connection.
First of all, it seems pretty obvious that the territory somehow should be included in the city. How, exactly, can such inclusion be achieved? Like two puzzles, a desolate space and a formed stratum of the city, they become part of the same picture thanks to their reunification of the main boulevards and prospects in the already stable urban territory of Copenhagen.

Matrix.
In chaotically arranged public buildings fit a matrix. It sets the order, establishing new rules of the modern city. The isolated territory of the district needs urgent reprogramming to save it from eternal imprisonment and free it from the stigma of a shapeless space. One of the characteristics of the matrix is that the world is a product of our imagination, an illusion that we have created ourselves. It is this fantastic metophore that is the key to solving the problems of the destroyed and forgotten area, which wants to be not just a forgotten dream of the past, but to become a commercially effective and residential dragging requests of people carved on the body of the city.

Technické informace

The buildings projected in the district are supposed to be erected in reinforced concrete, wood, and glass.
