Idea projektu

The project idea

The concept behind the port design is to establish ultra-modern port facilities that will fulfill requirements and address environmental, financial, and building climatic conditions in Beirut. The concept is the tipping point. During an explosion, energy is released as a blast wave that travels in the shape of a spherical or circular shape from the site or point of explosion to the surrounding region. Using this form on-site to establish continuous connectedness or mobility between all of the facilities and buildings, as well as to arrive at this conceptual framework. Connectivity on the property is achieved through sunken gardens and bridges linking buildings that merge into their surroundings.
