Idea projektu

The task was to design multi generational house in Hanoi, Vietnam. I was given exact site and the opportunity to talk with the owners about their wants and needs. The main problems to aim at were daylight, air circulation, space and relationships.

Popis projektu

I My main aim was to connect people and the space that they live in, but also get inside as much daylight as possible.
I used voids, skylights, perforated materials, reflective materials and a lot of glass.
The facade is shielded by somewhat of a wooden blinds, that can react to the sunlight and wind, they also rovide privacy and help to reduce the overheating.
Most of the spaces are connected at least sonically, but lot of them are connected visually.
The main focus should be living room, kitchen and dining room, as the main social spaces in the house and as I like to call it "The heart of the house". It's physically the largest space connected with the most parts of the house.

Technické informace

Mainly used materials are concrete, steel, wood and glass.
The main construction is created from concrete as it has the most suitable properties for the environment. It should help with reducing the overheating and is durable. We can also create orgaic shapes easily, which I used for the light distribution.
