The compulsory lifestyle related to "stay at home" shows a new process for all of us during the pandemic we live in. For those who stayed at home, a new life order began; remote work, distance education, even remote socialization…Although the practice of working at home, which has become widespread with the Covid-19 epidemic, is initially challenging for most people, working from home has many advantages. According to research, the most important advantages of working from home include being more productive, less stress, spending more time with the family and saving time on the road. It also reduces carbon emissions from fossil fuels to be used in transportation between the workplace and home. According to the researches, it is predicted that more than half of the companies will work completely from home in the near future.
As a result of the research, residences, which are the places where most time is spent during the pandemic period, were discussed. It was envisaged that office life would be permanently integrated into residences in the future. The thing that was missed the most during the pandemic process was nature. After the pandemic, a building type in which residence, office and nature coexist was proposed for the future of architecture. It was decided that every home owner would have an office and a garden on the same floor.
Istanbul was chosen as the location because it has the highest Covid-19 risk and mortality rate in Turkey. The project is located in Maslak, which is located at the intersection of residences, workplaces and educational buildings.
The concept was inspired by nature. Crown shyness is the fact that the crowns of trees of the same or different species do not touch each other, that is, they leave spaces between them. The reason for this is not to break the branches in the wind, not to cut the sunlight and to prevent the passage of harmful insects, in short, not to harm each other. This is the nature equivalent of physical distancing to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 between people. So actually all people experience a crown shyness.

After the pandemic, a building type in which residence, office and nature coexist was proposed for the future of architecture. Technické informace

Steel structure was used in the building. In order to significantly reduce the dynamic effects of the wind, cavities were created in the structure that allow air flow. The biggest source of ultraviolet is the sun. In order to make maximum use of the sun, which is a source of both mechanical surface disinfection and vitamin D, and to strengthen the relationship with the outside, smartglass, which can be opaque when necessary, were used instead of solid walls. Sun shading made of textile construction material was added to prevent overheating. Green walls were used to support sustainability in wet areas and warehouse areas that do not require sun.
