Our project is a five-storey multi-purpose building of a co-working centre, which brings many benefits and opportunities for the surrounding area. The intention is to create a welcoming and creative environment for users. The centre provides a suitable environment for visitors to work throughout the day, whether for groups or individuals who want to be surrounded by people who will motivate them and help them to develop further. Our premises are also suitable for start-up companies, for whom we can provide a space to showcase their projects. We create a space that people will love to come back to and where they can find everything they need during the day alongside their work.
We want our seemingly contrasting monolithic reinforced concrete building to blend in with the surrounding buildings and to interact with the environment. One of the main pillars of our project is to illuminate the entire building with respect to the neighbouring buildings. This effect is achieved by dividing the building into two parts, at the same time one of them is moved to the back creating space for light to penetrate through the whole building to the neighbouring block. The light penetration is ensured by a glass floor and a glass staircase with a subtle steel support structure. This creates an atrium that lets in plenty of light, connects the floors and is the main communication axis of the co-working space. The building also houses an escape staircase, an elevator and a car lift to the underground two-storey garage.
At the entrance to the building there is a two-storey café with a small summer terrace. The lower floor is open to the public and passers-by can stop in for a coffee. The second floor is private for our members, who can order drinks and snacks using a tablet, and a small restaurant elevator will take their order to the second floor.
And on the other side is the showroom. It's a place where our clients can showcase their work. Upon entering the building, you will see the main staircase made of milk glass, which is flanked on one side by a green wall of climbing plants. Behind the green wall is a spacious reception area with seating, a large conference room for public conferences. At the rear of the building on each floor there is a back-of-house area with a kitchenette, lift, escape staircase, toilets and an electricity distribution shaft. There is also a utility room and car lift on the ground floor.
On the second floor there is the aforementioned café, then a meeting room and an open plan space which consists of comfortable seating, a lounge for private meetings and free tables where you can sit and work.
The third floor is entirely dedicated to openspace. There is seating, booths for video-conferencing calls and a number of free but also fixed tables. The main area can be partitioned off with swivel panels.
The fourth floor is full of meeting rooms, either smaller or larger with the possibility of partitioning with a massive curtain. There will also be a summer terrace with a projection area where various meetings or summer workshops can be held if the weather is favourable.
On the fifth floor there is a large chillout area with a terrace accessible all day for our clients, which can be rented out for corporate parties if required.

IDEOVÁ ČÁST
• Daná parcela se nachází na rušné ulici, blízce obklopená sousedními stavbami. Sousední stavby mají okna otočené směrem k nám a to byla hned první překážka, kterou jsme museli vyřešit. Dále jsme se shodli, že chceme lidi přilákat dále směrem dovnitř parcely, jelikož se v zadní časti parcely nachází dostatek zeleně. Byli to první dva prvky, které určily tvar naší stavby-vykrojené části, aby sousedi měli dostatek světla v oknech a koridor vedoucí od cesty do zadní části parcely. Koridorem a vykrojenými částmi vznikla atria a části prvního nadzemního podlaží naší stavby. Shodli jsme se, že tyto části budou sloužit vybavení centra jako kavárna, vstupy do sekcí stavby nebo výstavní prostory. Koridor propojuje jednotlivá atria a navádí lidi do zadní části parcely-do otevřeného prostranství plného zeleně. Druhé nadzemní podlaží spojuje přízemní části a tvoří prostor, který bude sloužit přímo pro coworking. Toto centrum však zabírá převážnou část zeleně. Rozhodli jsme se proto nahradit zastavěnou plochu zelenou střechou. Výsledkem tohoto konceptu je tedy zalomená budova otevřená veřejnosti, která respektuje sousední zástavbu i životní prostředí.
KONSTRUKČNÍ ČÁST
• Výsledný tvar stavby má stavebně složitější tvar, proto byl řešením kombinovaný železobetonový skelet v kombinaci se železobetonovými zpevňujícími zdmi. Dalším problémem bylo parkování, a protože jsme nechtěli rušit klidný areál v přízemí, přesunuli jsme vjezd vozidel na druhou stranu parcely do podzemí. Budova je založena na pilotech, protože má skeletový systém. Ve stropě podzemního podlaží jsou vybudovány otvory určené pro stromy zasazené v suterénu, které ústí v jednotlivých atriích. Zelená střecha má speciální skladbu určenou pro odvod vody ze zeminy.
