The aim of this thesis is to analyse the selected site for the thesis assignment and to clarify the broader connections that influence the architectural design of the new use of the water reservoirs on Žlote hill.

The intention of the semester was to examine and analyze the unifying aspects of the site in as much detail as possible and also to delve into the issues of restoration and design of new uses for historic water tanks . In the first part, the brochure offers an insight into the topic
of the assignment, which is the site of the historic reservoirs. It describes the historical development of the site, the type of surrounding buildings, up to its current (dis)use and current trends.
The second section includes the requirements and construction program of the intended design, along with a preview of operations.


The material gathered should serve as background material and preparation for the subsequent redevelopment proposal and the proposal for a new use of the impressive, but as yet hidden to the public
water reservoirs in the city district of Brno- střed.

Cieľom tejto práce je analýza vybratej lokality pre zadanie diplomovej práce a objasnenie širších náväzností, ktoré ovplyvňujú architektonický návrh nového využitia areálu vodojemov na Žltom kopci.

Zámerom semestra bolo čo najpodrobnejšie preskúmať a analyzovať jednotivé aspekty lokality a tiež ponoriť sa do problematiky obnovy a návrhu nového využitia historických vodojemov . V prvej časti ponúka brožúra náhľad na tému
zadania, ktorou je areál historikých vodojemov. Popisuje historický vývoj lokality, typu okolitej zástavby, až po jej dnešné (ne)využitie a súčasné trendy.
Druhá časť obsahuje požiadavky a stavebný program zamýšlaného návrhu, spolu s náhľadom na fungovanie.


Zozbieraný materiál by mal slúžiť ako pomocný materiál a príprava k následnému návrhu obnovy a návrhu na nové využitie impozantných, no zatiaľ verejnosti skrytých
vodojemov v mestskej časti Brno- stred.
