The backbone and driving force behind the systematic transformation of the mono-thematic industrial area into a dynamic district with an overlapping living, working, leisure, culture and education will be a 2km long linear strip along the main traffic axis parallel to the coast into the city center of Barcelona. The linear area becomes a linear city with simultaneous vertical superimposition of life and working methods, dealing with the redefine of affordable housing across the generations and the work in the city. Learning from Barcelona also means learning from the simplicity and genius of Cerdá's plan for Eixample with its grid of square blocks of houses - a simple system, which allows diversity and difference with simultaneous unity and togetherness. The divide of the strip between all the students from the studio creates the possibility of establishing a lively city and a model for the immediate future section by section.

Popis projektu

Dealing with the mechanization and digitization of the living space has led to achieving 3 different living apartments, which are integrated in the base tower volumes. Each of the units is an answer to the needs of a certain client, from the alone-living student to the family.

Technické informace

The mechanization of the space could be achieved in many ways, but in order to keep the prizes in the lower range the used tools are in the low-fi spectrum. The folding, pulling, pushing parts generate a living organism in the face of the ever-changing living unit.
