Origins
The neighborhood of La Boca next to the Río de La Plata, is one of the emblematic of the city of Buenos Aires was one of the chosen by Italian immigrants around 1900
The conventillo / tenements, is the basic type and extended throughout the neighborhood its basic structure is units or rooms around common patios since in each room lived a complete family

Hence the trigger for the development of this project basically takes the modulation of dry metal steel structure and dry construction lined with corrugated sheet metal as a characteristic finish of the neighborhood, these functional modules both on one level and on two levels, the latter They all have exterior expansions, they are grouped together forming patios, collective places, stairs, steps for the outside seating.
Recovering in the set the characteristic of common spaces as a fundamental value.
The 2-level units in pb living room kitchen and in pa a bedroom and a space that can function as a second bedroom or desk and a full bathroom in pb there is a unit for thought for a user with a wheelchair. The soul of the project is the articulation of the volumes that delimit exterior spaces in the manner of patios discovered as semi-covered, these become public expansions for the inhabitants of the complex, becoming places for meeting or resting and being internal.

The choice of the Theme refers to the reworking of the housing theme of the Origins of ways of living in the Barrio de la Boca near the Rivera of the port where the first Spanish and Italian immigrants settled mostly, but from Europe in general.
And the dwelling places that they found in the neighborhood were the so-called tenements that were tenants where they lived in inmates in rooms around courtyards where whole families lived
Hence the starting point of New Origins, which is a reformulation of minimal homes but with spatial dignity and having exterior spaces such as patios as articulators of the project.

Technické informace

The technology used is a construction of tubular structure in steel and dry materials from its insulation to its interior termination with a modulation according to the construction system used.
