Idea projektu

Reconnecting People with Nature through Architecture and design is another important aspect of the project to improve the experience quality.
The intention is to create a space for young generation and our elderly to transmit knowledge and share the passion for the sea. It is very important that we learn to appreciate and respect nature from a young age.

Popis projektu

The centre, in this case, is located on the longest pier in England and is often visited by kids, fisherman and older generation. The three stairs at ground level lead to the rooftop providing a quick way to enjoy the surrounding landscape. Also, enable the users to experience the site from different perspective. Internally we can find a small reception, bathrooms and the main spaces where the activities take parts. Externally a lovely area where is possible to enjoy the surrounding while sitting on the stairs that lead into the sea. The stairs represent the connection to the nature.

BENEFITS OF GREEN WALLS

We learn as children that plants are a requirement for life, yet so many of us are completely withdrawn from the world outdoors. Living green walls are often used to combat noise pollution and to improve quality air and thermal insulation. Another positive is the reduction of the energy costs. External green walls improve the building`s thermal insulation by adding a
protective layer of plants. In addition, many studies have investigated the effects of indoor plants on people and the outcomes relevant to the
effectiveness and well-being of office workers.
Those outcomes included improvements in psycho-physiological stress responses.
