Idea projektu

Budova divadla je součástí rozsáhlejší studie rozvoje pražské čtvrti Košíře. Projekt s názvem STROMSTORY počítá s doplněním nedokončeného bloku a vytvořením nového místního centra s bohatým veřejným prostorem. Jedná se o soubor budov pro kulturu, školství, administrativu a bydlení.
Koncept odkazuje na lesy, které pokrývají nedaleké svahy. Proto je celý areál navržený jako vykotlaný pařez. Do okolí se ukazuje pevná „kůra“, která zaplňuje narušenou městskou zástavbu, zatímco vnitroblok je pojatý jako rozdrobená struktura, kde se to hemží aktivitou.

The theater is part of a large development study of Prague quarter Košíře. The project called STROMSTORY introduces a completion of an unfinished urban block and creates a new local center with rich public spaces. It is a set of houses including cultural buildings, schools, offices and housing.
The concept refers to forests covering the hillsides nearby. Therefore, the whole complex is designed as a decayed stump. To its surrounding it is showing its solid "bark“, which fills the fragmented urban area, whereas the courtyard is a eroded structure with flourishing activities.

Popis projektu

Budova je rozdělena na dvě části, funkčně i vizuálně. V části, která je součástí „pařezu“ a uzavírá blok z jihovýchodu, jsou umístěné zkušebny, šatny, administrativa, sklady a také vlastní jeviště. Funkčně tady tedy vzniká umění. Druhá část již není součástí hlavní struktury, ale plní roli parazita. Je napojený na kmen a vysává ho. Opět je tu i funkční propojení -v této části je hlediště, umění je zde tedy „konzumováno“. Tvar této části je pojatý organicky s průhlednou fasádou, která ukazuje „vnitřnosti parazita“
Součástí projektu je i veřejný prostor, v tomto případě odpočinkové náměstí sloužící jako rozptylová plocha.

The building is devided into two sections, both funtionally and visualy. The first section, which is part of the "stump“ and encloses the block from south-east contains test rooms, fitting rooms, administration, warehouses and also the stage. Functionally, this is the place where the art is created. The second section is outside of the main structure, playing a role of a parasite. It is connected to the trunk and „sucks“ it. Again, the functional connection exists – this section contains the auditiorium, so it is the place, where the art is consumed. The form of this "parasite“ is organic with a translucent facade, which allows to see its "guts".
The public space is also a part of the design. In this case, it is a little square, where the visitors can disperse and relax.

Technické informace

Konstrukce objektu je železobetonová monolitická, nosný systém je kombinací sloupového a stěnového systému. Samonosná fasáda je vytvořena z lícového zdiva. Prostor foyer je zastřešen ocelovými příhradovými nosníky.

The structure of this building is made of reinforced concrete. It is a combination of load bearing walls and columns. The facade is a self-supporting masonry. The foyer is cover by steel beam trusses.
