Idea projektu

The main goal of the project is conservation of existing object 'ledarna'. Ledarna is a building which has used in the last century to preserve ice. The whole idea was "to take original ice cube out" and to use existing building for library purposes.

Popis projektu

the whole project consists of two parts: new and old. the new one offers offices, lecture halls and other areas. the old one is for library purposes only. In the ledarna are located so-called containers, which have their 'atmosphere', it means that each container can control own inner climate. in one box is situated store. another box is for book shelfs and quiet study room. one of the dominant point of hall are stairs.

Technické informace

The facade of new building is made of polycarbonate panels.
