Project idea

At first glance, in a newly built residential neighborhood, which appears as an unplanned area, the most visible aspect is the presence of cars in the public space dislocating the presence of humans. In short, the aggressive parking canceled the idea of public space, of the event. So, this project has the purpose to solve the problem of improper parking, to establish alternative methods of transport, also to equip the area with public facilities.

Project description

The project is a multi-storey building for car parking which also combines alternative spaces of public facilities such as bicycle shop and service, retaurants, cafe, public square, bio and natural products market, exhibition spaces, etc. Also another goal was the sustainable component based on the recreation of an urban forest in the heart of the building (for CO2 absorption, humidity regulation, fixing dust particles, etc) in the first place. Also, having special architectural qualities that mark passive shading and ventilation has a contribution to building performances.

Technical information

The building is made on a metal structure and has thermally activated concrete floors. Also, the exterior enclosures use special recycled concrete which also includes cooling and heating systems. Moreover, the parking spaces are intertwining smooth slopes that permit a good air circulation in the building circuit.
